New Pen and Ink Works of Suprematist Artists By Victor Balanon

A self-taught painter, Victor Balanon ventured into the arts through the subculture of comics, animation, and punk music in the Philippines. In this solo exhibition For Tomorrow You Will Not Recognize Us at Mind Set Art Center, Taipei, Balanon is inspired by simple geometric shapes that is center to the Supremacist movement. Balanon aims to synthesize the images of his subjects and their works in order to make them disappear. It is as Balanon calls it, “…part homage, part research, part critique, and part teasing…”

The exhibit runs from 25 February to 1 April 2017. Please contact Mind Set Art Center for more info.
